Getting Ready for the Great Adventure

SAM Plane we take into the jungle

We have finished all the laundry, bought our snacks and packed and weighed our bags! Amazingly we are one bag short of our allowed weight. The airlines allows 2 fifty pound bags each. It's the first time we have EVER been underweight!

The team will meet at the airport January 3rd at 4:30 AM, hopefully after our morning coffee. Our flight leaves at 7:30. We have a stopover in Houston for 5 hours so maybe that will be a great place to catch up on some sleep and of course the last barbecue for awhile. We should arrive in Lima around 11 PM and settle in for a good night's sleep.

Please keep us all in your prayers: Rick (Pastor of Highland Baptist Church-Westminster) and Becky Anderson, Ron Dalton and us. Also remember to pray for the conference in Nueva Vida. The subject of AIDS will be addressed; both the physical and spiritual issues. Hard stuff. Pray for the Heads. Tommy will be with a drill team and Angela with us.

We will keep you posted as we travel back to the amazing Amazon.

You are in our prayers as well. Thank you for being part of our team.

Where we are

Yurimaguas, Peru

Yurimaguas, Peru is located on the Paranapura and Huallaga Rivers in the Amazon Basin. It is a jungle city of about 30,000 people and the entry port for the indigenous people to buy and sell their products.
