Tarapoto

Team 2008 in Lamas
Ron Dalton, Rick & Becky Anderson and Ken & Terri Van Brunt

Today was a perfect day! In the morning it rained, but not too hard; just enough to cool the everything off. We spent the day getting ready to head to Yurimaguas tomorrow, but we also took time to see some sights. We traveled to Lamas, a Quechua community in the mountain overlooking Tarapoto. It was the epicenter of the earthquake that happened a couple of years ago. The sun came out in the afternoon with enough heat to remind us each to drink more water. We had a wonderful time together just "bonding." It's a great team!

We leave in the morning at 7 AM for Yurimaguas. We have hired a van so we can all be in the same vehicle. They say the road is dry and is in good condition. Please pray for safety as we travel on this scenic route.
